| This is the bit everyone likes to avoid! The last plank has just gone on sweetly, no struggles, no gaggles of nippers trying to close up a recalcitrant lap. So let's pack up and go home to a nice glass of wine... Oh no! We've got to clean up the glue. On the inside where the runs & blobs will stick out like a sore thumb under any paint or varnish. But also on the outside where it is vital to trowel a thick layer evenly along the plank edge. This is permanently to seal the end grain of the ply edge. I usually make a mug of something hot and open the biscuit tin to get us through this half an hour. |
